This weekend, we went to a restaurant, called Shawn O'Donnell's, for breakfast. Yup, I'm going to write about breakfast again! Maybe I should make a new category...Anyway, it's not like we planned to have breakfast there beforehand. We decided to go into this restaurant just because we were very hungry and driving by it, which turned out to be a great decision.
This restaurant is also an Irish pub. Because of that, it's got various Irish beer signs on the walls and tap handles at the bar counter. They even use mini-whisky bottles for salt and pepper at the tables! I really liked its interior.
As for food, I'd say it's a little different but delicious. I had Monte Cristo, and my boyfriend had Ham & Cheddar Omelet and a pancake. You know, most restaurants' menu says "Pancakes (3) $xxx," meaning a stack of 3 pancakes. BUT this restaurant's menu says "Pancake $xxx," and our server brought us one gigantic pancake! It was probably about 10 inches in diameter. In spite of the size, this pancake was fluffy and really tasty. The pancake itself isn't sweet, and I think I can eat the entire thing by myself with no problem (if I order one next time) ;p
Monte Cristo was good, too. It's just I've realized that I simply like French toasts without ham or cheese.. I had hash browns with Monte Cristo, and I really liked their hash browns. However, it tasted a little different. So did country fried potatoes. I can't really explain what or how, but maybe that's the Irish style.
This restaurant is right by a drive-in theater in Everett. Next time we go to Shawn O'Donnell's, I want to check this theater out!
