For the first time in the U.S. history, we have an African American President! Senator Barack Obama won the presidency!! Though I'm Japanese, I can still understand that it means a lot to American people, especially African Americans. Just looking at people's faces on TV gave me goosebumps. The fact that the U.S. had the highest voting turnout in 100 years explains everything, I'm sure.
Mr. Obama's victory speech was incredible. I have to say, he is a great public speaker. And it's really sad that his grandmother couldn't see it.. 2 days before yesterday, she passed away. But I'm sure she watched his awesome speech from the heaven and will keep watching over him.
"Yes, we can." I hope we can proudly say this again when Mr. Obama finishes his 4-year term as President.

Hellow,Nite,
This is my first time to visit your blog. Really interesting.
I remember talking with some American friends about U.S.President two years ago.
At that time they said,"We will never have a black President. It's too early. Maybe a female President, bur no black Presidents."
Mr.Obama was elected!
I think for many Americans it was a great surprise.
I like the phraze,"Yes, we can."
I want to remember this spirit.
See you,
